2504 Creative Presents “A Night of Relief”

About Crucé Design

Crucé Design (pronounced crew-chay) was born out of a desire to make the web a prettier and easier place to live and work. When we first began in 2001 we started doing websites for local groups and friends in an attempt to avoid the further uglification of the internet with their “brand spanking new copy of MS Front Page”. In 2005 the internet looked drastically different from today, but some rules and ideologies still hold true for the way we approach business and design: simple, visually appealing, and adhering to standards. We are located in Lafayette, Louisiana in the heart of Cajun country and love graphic and web design as much as we do the growing culture of the area.

Simple

We hold strongly to the KISS principle of design. By keeping things SIMPLE you learn to focus on what is truly important in the project. When things get complicated, they get difficult to use.

Visually Appealing

We are all drawn to what is beautiful. The inherent beauty of good design is screamingly obvious next to a bad ill-conceived design. When something doesn’t look right we can feel it in our bones and it can form our opinions about products or services in an instant.

Standards

We believe that there is a right way and a wrong way to develop a website. Standards based design adheres to commonly held protocols and design methods that ensure your site will provide a quality user experience. A well structured site that takes advantage of current XHTML and CSS rules can help with search engine rankings, ensure that your site is viewed the same across different computers, browsers, and even mobile devices. Its the way the web should have been designed in the first place.

Owner/Lead Geek

Crucé is operated by owner/lead geek Daniel Kedinger. Daniel has a degree in Philosophy and Liberal Arts and worked for more than 6 years in design. His background in philosophy gives him a holistic approach to projects that keep in mind both the particulars and the big picture. He is skilled in HTML5 and CSS3. He is considered by many to be a local expert in the WordPress CMS and HTML5.
